About Us

Gillian & David are the current owners of Old Westmill, the home of 3 beautiful Grade II listed properties - Old Westmill Farmhouse, The Barn & The Coach House.

Gillian & David first moved to Old Westmill from London in 2002 with their 2 sons, Louis & Olly, after lovingly restoring The Barn into their new family home. Prior to that, the property was owned by Gillian’s parents, Betty & Ronald Shephard, for over 20 years.

Old Westmill Farmhouse dates back as far as the 16th Century, whilst The Barn and The Coach House are both of a slightly later period, although still exude their own rustic charm. The Coach House was the first of our two holiday rentals - it was restored by Ronald before being run as a holiday let by Betty, until Gillian & David took over the day-to-day running of the property upon moving to Old Westmill.

Since 2015, David & Gillian have also restored Old Westmill Farmhouse to become their family home, and have updated The Barn, to become a second holiday rental, and The Coach House with a new more modern interior.
